This card uses the Clearly Besotted Elegant Butterflies Stamp & Dies set with I love! So much fun to color, which I did with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, then attached them to a card base using Spellbinders’ Timeless Rectangles Die Set. I think adding the stripe paper makes the overall image a little more contemporary.
I loved making this card with all the layers, details, materials and colors that created the kind of eye candy I really enjoy. I started out with Spellbinders “Timeless Rectangles Dies” in cream card stock, then added purple paper from DCWV’s Shimmer Stack, stickers from Sweet Pea, graduating white to pink ribbon, hot pink buttons, pink & rose construction paper and white pearls from Michaels Craft Store . I lined the inside with rose paper also cut with Spellbinder dies to add a finishing touch. When I showed this card to my friend, she wouldn’t let it out of her sight and left with it safely tucked in her purse – that’s the best kind of reaction!
I love embossed backgrounds with the Distressed Inks. And this frame showcases the rich texture and color scheme – really helps in making this card pop!
This card is a combination of Rangers Distressed Inks, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, an Inkadinkado stamp (bird) and Papertrey Ink’s “Life is Sweet” stamp & die set. I love the combination of colors and 3-D effects, lush like a garden in full bloom.
